Revenue management

Rent Dynamics (Rent Trends)

Rent Dynamics sells RentPlus, a resident credit-building program for apartment operators that reports on-time rent payments to the credit bureaus, alongside a multifamily CRM and a leasing contact center. The company is now part of Entrata, and RentPlus is available on its own or as the rent reporting component inside Entrata's Homebody Suite.

RentPlus reports only on-time payments and never reports a late one. Residents keep paying the leasing office as usual; RentPlus collects the payment history from the property management system and sends it to the bureaus. Enrolled residents also get RentPlus Money for syncing bank accounts, budgeting, and tracking spending and net worth, real-time credit monitoring, identity theft insurance with personal identity recovery of up to $1 million, and a resource library on credit building, investing, and retirement. Past payments are back-reported at no charge for up to 24 months where the management system holds the history and the resident has stayed in the same unit.

For the operator it is an ancillary revenue line with a revenue share. The charge appears as a line item on the resident ledger from the first of the month after enrollment, or after a trial ends, and residents can cancel at any time through the resident portal or by email. The company says implementation takes as little as two weeks with dedicated support for resident questions, that RentPlus is SOC 2 enterprise ready and PII compliant, and that it acts as the data furnisher and assumes that liability. Entrata continues to maintain the Rent Dynamics CRM and contact center.

Support is split across two lines: Rent Dynamics CRM and contact center on 877-206-0179, and RentPlus on 855-388-5314. The address given is 91 E 700 S, Logan, UT 84321. Pricing and revenue share terms are not published and come through a demo request.

Best for

Apartment operators that want a resident credit-building amenity with a revenue share and can feed it payment history from their property management system. Not a fit for owners without an on-site leasing office or a PMS holding that history.

Can previous rent payments be reported?
Yes. RentPlus automatically back-reports up to 24 months of rent payments free of charge, as long as the property management system contains the payment history and the resident has lived in the same unit.
When do payments show up on a resident's credit report?
On-time payments are reported each month for the previous month's rent. After enrollment it typically takes the credit bureaus 30 to 40 days before the payments appear on the credit report.
How are residents billed for RentPlus?
The charge appears as a line item on the resident ledger, starting the first of the month following enrollment, or the month after a trial ends. Residents can cancel at any time through the resident portal or by emailing support.
