Zoho Books

Zoho Books is cloud accounting software for small and growing businesses, sold on its own and as part of the wider Zoho suite. It covers quotes and invoicing, payments, banking and reconciliation, bills and expenses, inventory, projects, 1099 and W-9 management, sales tax and reporting, with editions aimed at startups, small businesses, accounting firms and nonprofits.

The books can be worked in a browser, on iOS and Android, or in a Windows desktop app. Multi-currency transactions apply exchange rates automatically, workflow automation handles repetitive tasks, emails and alerts, and client and vendor portals cover collaboration outside the team. Invoice and email templates, custom fields and custom reports are configurable, and Zoho markets AI features for plain-English questions, anomaly detection and automated collections.

Pricing is per organization per month rather than per user. The published ladder runs Free for solopreneurs and micro businesses, Standard at $20, Professional at $50, Premium at $70, Elite at $150 and Ultimate at $275, each cheaper on annual billing ($15, $40, $60, $120 and $240 respectively), with savings of up to 25% for paying yearly and prices exclusive of local taxes. A 14-day free trial is offered, along with free migration assistance from other accounting products.

Zoho sells a separate practice management product for accounting and bookkeeping firms, and runs localized editions for markets including Canada, the United Kingdom, India, Australia, Singapore, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
