Zego is a property management automation platform covering resident payments, utility billing and expense management, and resident experience, for multifamily owners and managers, homeowner associations, student housing, build-to-rent, and manufactured housing communities. Its copyright notice identifies the company as PayLease, LLC doing business as Zego.

The platform is organized into three products. Zego Pay automates rent and HOA dues collection through ACH, credit card, debit card, and PayPal, integrates receivables into the accounting system, automates reconciliation, and handles voids and refunds, with a staff portal and a resident mobile app. Zego Utility automates utility accounts payable and resident billing, supporting submeter and RUBS billing on a single statement with rent, an automated move-out calculator, submeter health and usage reporting, vacant unit cost recovery, and utility transfer violation recovery. Zego Mobile Doorman automates on-site workflows such as work orders and lease renewals and gives residents a self-service app.

Zego says its payments work rests on 20 years of experience and work with 7,000+ property management companies, and it publishes an integration roster with property management and accounting platforms, with alliance partnerships among several systems. Resident and homeowner support is staffed 24/7/365; client support for managers runs Monday to Friday, 6am to 5pm PT.

What to check directly: pricing is not published. The site asks buyers to request pricing for standard product packages and lists add-on growth features, such as account connection via Plaid and property check scanning, that are quoted separately, as are per-transaction costs. Confirm the integration with your accounting or property management system before signing.
