Texas Self Storage Association

The Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) represents self-storage owners and operators in Texas, with legal resources, education, networking, and legislative advocacy.

Its legal material is the core benefit: the TSSA rental agreement, an electronic lease that integrates with many management software platforms, the digital Goldbook reference with step-by-step guidance, FAQs, and articles for Texas operators, and a library of 80+ fillable forms and templates covering foreclosure, eviction, and daily operations. Members also get member-only resources around the clock and staff reachable by phone and email.

Founded in 1986, TSSA says it is the largest state self-storage organization in the country, with more than 5,200 member facilities. It runs luncheons and networking events, webinars, a self-storage legal workshop, an executive retreat, and the Big Ideas in Storage conference and trade show; publishes Self-Storage News magazine; hosts the TSSA Engage peer forum; and maintains a directory of vendor and supplier members. Its office is in Round Rock, Texas.
