Pickleball Court Company (SportMaster)

SportMaster manufactures acrylic sport surfacing and repair products for tennis, pickleball, basketball, roller hockey, running tracks, playgrounds and other recreational courts. Its coatings use 100% acrylic resins, which the company positions as protection against weather and ultraviolet degradation.

SportMaster does not install courts. Products, tools and equipment are stocked and distributed through the SealMaster franchise system, along with distributors and court resurfacing contractors, and the site lists locations by state so an owner can find a stocking store and an installer. Technical material on the site includes specifications, engineering specs, mixing procedures, maintenance guidance, court layout diagrams, a court designer, a product catalog and a coatings estimator, plus LEED credit and architect pages.

The coatings are water-based with low levels of volatile organic compounds, color choices can contribute to LEED credits for low solar reflective index and heat island reduction, and cushioned systems use recycled rubber. The company says it has supplied court resurfacing professionals for over a quarter century and that more than 100 representatives across the US support specifiers, owners and contractors. Mail goes to a PO Box in Sandusky, Ohio, and the site publishes a toll-free number and weekday hours.

Because the work is done by contractors, project pricing comes from the installer, not from SportMaster. The FAQ page raises the cost questions owners ask - what resurfacing a tennis court costs, what building a pickleball court costs, how many pickleball courts fit on a tennis court - and delivers the answers as documents. Ask the local SealMaster store which contractors it supplies before selecting a bidder.
