Roofstock is a platform for buying, managing and selling single-family rental and build-to-rent property, serving both individual investors and institutions. Its services run from acquisitions and valuations through property management, asset management and dispositions.

The marketplace lists investment-ready single-family rentals in 70+ markets. For portfolios, the acquisitions team sources through MLS, off-market and wholesaler channels, and buys whole build-to-rent communities directly from developers and homebuilders. Property management runs under the Mynd brand, landlord software is Stessa, and tenant screening is RentPrep. Valuations are delivered as desktop, exterior or interior broker price opinions through a vetted broker network, with manual review by an in-house team of licensed professionals.

Roofstock says it serves more than 400,000 investors, and that its proprietary Rental Genome data set tracks over 1 billion data points across the U.S. residential market. The dispositions business reports $4.1 billion in transactions since 2015, a vetted broker network across 40+ markets, and a single transaction covering 1,700 homes. Mynd says it is trusted by over 5,000 investors. The company grew through acquisitions of RentPrep, Stessa, Streetlane Homes and Great Jones, and merged with Mynd in 2024.

Fees are not published. Note that Roofstock states property and asset management counsel is currently available to institutional customers only, so an individual buyer gets the marketplace, valuations and software rather than the full service stack.
