Preferred Homes of Columbus

Preferred Homes is a manufactured home retailer based in Columbus, Georgia, selling new manufactured and modular homes alongside pre-owned inventory. It says it is the oldest dealer in the area serving Georgia and Alabama, and it markets itself on having the largest on-site inventory in the two states.

Quoted prices include set-up, delivery, and air conditioning, and delivery is free in Alabama and Georgia. The retailer also arranges financing, offering manufactured, mobile, and modular home loans in both states, and tells buyers they pay tax only for their own state.

The floor plans published include Southern Charm three- and four-bedroom models, a Southern Charm modular home, The Pinnacle in three- and four-bedroom layouts, The Southern Farmhouse, Boujee 56 and Boujee XL 2, and a Freedom model, ranging from compact plans up to homes with five bedrooms. Manufacturers named on the site include Cavalier Homes of Alabama and Timber Creek Housing. The site also lists homes and lots for sale.

The sales center is at 3139 Victory Dr, Columbus, GA 31903, open Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings, closed Sunday. No prices are published for the homes themselves — call for a quote on a specific plan — and buyers placing a home in a community should confirm what set-up work is included at that site.
