Old Republic Title

Old Republic Title provides title insurance, escrow and settlement services for individuals, businesses and government, working through company-owned offices, affiliates, authorized agents and approved attorneys. Its underwriters are Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and American Guaranty Title Insurance Company.

Beyond ordinary residential closings the group runs National Commercial Services and specialized commercial services teams for multi-state and larger commercial transactions, plus builder and developer services and 1031 exchange services. Independent title agents can be appointed as authorized agents and use the group's commercial agency services, educational material and technology.

The group is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, has been in business for more than a century, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Old Republic International Corporation of Chicago, which traces its beginnings to 1923, is among the nation's 50 largest publicly held insurance organizations, and reported consolidated assets of approximately $29 billion as of December 31, 2025. ORI runs more than 134 corporate entities, 27 of them insurance subsidiaries covering all 50 states, three US territories and all 10 Canadian provinces. The company states that since 1992 no other title insurer has had higher overall ratings, from A.M. Best, Standard & Poor's, Moody's and Demotech.

Affiliates include ePN for eRecording with county offices and ORBIT Systems, a title plant covering the seven-county Minneapolis-St. Paul area and the five-county Kansas City area. Premiums and escrow fees are set per transaction and in many states by filed rates, so ask the local office or the appointed agent what applies to the file.
