New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association
The New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association (NMMHA) is a non-profit trade organization representing the retailers, manufacturers and suppliers of the manufactured housing industry in New Mexico. Membership is open to anyone actively engaged in performing a service for the state's manufactured housing industry, and members include manufacturers, retailers, communities, lenders, insurers, servicers, suppliers, installers, transporters, associates and brokers.
The association's stated purpose is to serve its membership while promoting the general welfare of the industry, particularly at state level, through dedicated representation in the New Mexico legislature. It publishes member directories by category, including associates, insurance providers, land developers and service firms, with each member's address, phone and website. Members sign a code of ethics covering warranty performance, written disclosure of all fees and charges, equal service regardless of protected characteristics, and cooperation with the association on consumer complaints.
NMMHA runs the NMMHA and James Knott Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in 1995 for graduating New Mexico high school students who live in a mobile or manufactured home. It is managed by the Albuquerque Community Foundation and provides approximately $1,500 per year to two qualified applicants. The association also points members to MHD online permitting system training and publishes consumer material on New Mexico tax credits, rebates and the sustainable building tax credit.
Membership terms and dues are handled through the association's own join-and-renew page rather than published as a schedule. The office is on Indian School Road NE in Albuquerque.
