MSCI sells data, analytics and indexes covering global commercial real estate and infrastructure to investors who need to measure and benchmark real asset performance. Private Asset Solutions covers benchmarking, look-through exposure data, scenario modeling and manager evaluation across private asset classes, with greenhouse gas emissions data alongside the financial measures. Total Portfolio Solutions puts private holdings on the same exposure, performance, risk and liquidity basis as public ones, including forecasts of capital calls, distributions and NAVs before capital is committed.

MSCI reports that 94 of the top 100 pensions, 98 of the top 100 asset managers and 82 of the top 100 banks are clients, that roughly $21 trillion in assets under management is benchmarked to its equity indexes, and that it calculates nearly 300,000 equity and fixed income indexes daily. Its private capital data spans $17.3 trillion in private investments.
