Midwest Electric Products manufactures weatherproof electrical equipment for outdoor and temporary power. For community operators the relevant lines are metallic RV park equipment, power outlets and power inlets, temporary power units, meter sockets and service entrance equipment, and AC disconnects.

Construction is consistent across the range: NEMA 3R weatherproof enclosures, Noryl thermoplastic housings that resist corrosion, and metallic models in G90 galvanised steel with a polyester powder coat that resists chipping and fading. Power outlets and inlets come at 20A, 30A and 50A in two enclosure sizes, with padlockable doors, dead-front construction and weather- and tamper-resistant GFCI duplexes as the National Electrical Code requires.

AC disconnects cover 30 to 60 amperes at 120/240 and 240 VAC, single and three phase, rated 10,000 A.I.C., with selected models carrying a factory-installed GFCI receptacle. The same catalogue includes manual transfer switches, spa panels and a ReliaHome Flex home energy management product.

The business was founded in 1945, began by making transformers and remote control products, became known as the Duck brand, and in 1975 was acquired as a wholly owned subsidiary of the General Electric Company. Products are not sold direct: independent manufacturer's representatives handle product selection and point buyers to stocking distributors across the United States and Canada.
