Michigan Manufactured Housing Association
The Michigan Manufactured Housing Association (MMHA) is the state trade association for the manufactured, modular and factory-built home industry in Michigan. Its members are manufacturers, retailers, communities, lenders and suppliers, and its stated mission is to promote acceptance of factory-built housing with elected officials, municipalities and the public, to work toward fair treatment of factory-built housing, and to expand its market.
Most of the public-facing site is consumer marketing on behalf of members: a searchable directory of homes from Michigan dealers with floor plans and 3-D tours, a community finder, a business directory searchable by business type, featured homes, and explainer content on construction, legislation and financing. The association also runs industry events, including the 2026 Fall Manufactured Home Showcase.
MMHA was founded in 1941 and is one of Michigan's oldest trade associations, operating as a nonprofit. Its board seats are held by operators, retailers and manufacturers including Sun Communities, YES! Communities, Cambio Communities, Blank Family Communities, M. Shapiro Management and Clayton Homes. Staff are shared with MARVAC, the RV and campground division, at 2222 Association Dr, Okemos, MI 48864, on (517) 349-3300. The HARVEST Education Foundation, established in 1991 by the Michigan Manufactured Housing, Recreation Vehicles, and Campground Association, is a 501(c)(3) that has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships to nearly 700 students and has held research grants from institutions including the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.
Dues, member benefit schedules and convention details are not published on the pages crawled, and the site's industry-facing material is thinner than its consumer material, so contact the Okemos office for the member package and current legislative agenda.
Best for
