Manufactured Housing Educational Institute

The Manufactured Housing Educational Institute (MHEI) is the education arm of the Manufactured Housing Institute. Its programs cover manufactured home installation and inspection, continuing education for licence renewal, community management and retail sales.

Installers and inspectors use MHEI's online training to meet the education requirements for licensing, and to take the continuing education needed to keep a licence current. The Accredited Community Manager (ACM) designation is aimed at people who own, manage or work in a land-lease community, and covers federal and fair housing law, taxes, insurance and physical asset management. The Professional Housing Consultant (PHC) program is for employees of retail sales centres and of land-lease communities that conduct onsite home sales. Courses are delivered online, and MHI also runs a bookstore of industry publications.

MHEI sits inside MHI at 1000 Wilson Blvd, Suite 2502, Arlington, Virginia. MHI membership includes access to MHEI courses and industry certification programs, along with event and publication discounts.
