Landscape Structures

Landscape Structures manufactures commercial playground equipment in Delano, Minnesota, and has been doing so since 1971. It is an employee-owned company with an ESOP, and it sells through a network of sales consultants and representatives rather than direct from the factory.

The catalogue is organised by age range - 6 to 23 months, 2 to 5 years, 5 to 12 years and 13 and up - and by product line, covering playground structures and components, freestanding equipment, preconfigured structures and towers, nature-inspired play, sports and fitness equipment, outdoor musical instruments, shade, and site furnishings. Inclusive and accessible design is a stated focus, developed with inclusive play partners so equipment is age-appropriate as well as accessible.

Two divisions extend the range. Aquatix, formed after the 2015 acquisition of Aquatic Recreation Company and Commercial Aquatic Engineering and based in Delano, designs, fabricates and builds water features and spray parks for municipal spray parks, aquatic centres, hotels and resorts, and cites more than 30 years of experience. SkyWays, developed in 2016 and based in Dallas, Texas, makes commercial shade structures.

Manufacturing is largely in-house, including an on-site concrete plant opened in 2011 that produces glass fibre reinforced concrete themed features, alongside tube and sheet lasers, MIG welding, rotational moulding and a 1,400 foot powder paint line. The company also publishes playground maintenance guidance and supplies replacement parts and retrofits. Prices are quoted per project through a representative.
