Kutak Rock

Kutak Rock is a national law firm with more than 600 attorneys and 21 offices, serving business and governmental clients in public finance, real estate, litigation and corporate law. The firm opened in 1965 and grew out of a finance practice.

For real estate clients the firm handles acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, housing, healthcare real estate, real estate development, sale-leaseback finance and REIT work, with a separate real estate capital markets group and a real estate litigation practice. Public finance is a large part of the firm and includes multifamily housing and single family housing bonds, development and improvement districts, tax increment financing, exempt facilities, and governmental, nonprofit and healthcare finance.

A tax credits group covers low income housing tax credits, new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, opportunity zones, energy tax credits and state credits. It works alongside a business, corporate and securities practice of more than 100 attorneys handling corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation and compliance, transactional tax and corporate governance, plus P3, privatization and infrastructure lawyers.

The firm holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system and says it has been certified continuously since 2019, with annual audits plus routine audits by financial institution and retail clients. Billing rates are not published.
