Access control & smart locks

Kisi

Kisi is a cloud-based access control and security platform run from Brooklyn, New York, with a second office in Stockholm. It pairs its own door hardware with a management dashboard, and says its hardware is made in the USA.

The platform covers access control, visitor management, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and analytics and reporting from one dashboard, with devices including the Reader Pro, Terminal Pro, Controller Pro and an intercom. Access can be granted or revoked remotely, restricted by access schedules, unlock schedules and first-to-arrive schedules, and limited by geofence, primary device or managed device restrictions. Credentials include the Kisi mobile app on phones and smartwatches, tap-to-unlock and wave-to-unlock at the reader, Kisi cards or third-party NFC and RFID credentials, and employee badges in Apple Wallet. Elevator access is licensed separately from doors, and offline cache on the phone, reader and controller provides fallback unlocking.

Deployment can either replace an existing system from scratch or overlay a legacy one with mobile and physical credentials. Integrations include camera systems from Cisco Meraki, Eagle Eye Networks, Lumana, Rhombus Systems, Spot AI and VIVOTEK, identity providers including Microsoft Entra ID and JumpCloud, and space management software for gyms and coworking spaces such as Mindbody, Glofox, Gymflow, Archie, Coworks and Optix. An open API and mobile SDKs support white-label tenant apps.

Pricing is modular. The One Security Platform plan for SMBs starts at $99 and gives access to the admin dashboard; hardware and add-ons may be required, discounts are available on annual contracts, and Enterprise pricing is quoted. Kisi's own industry pages name coworking and shared workspaces, commercial real estate, fitness and wellness, and corporate offices.
