KeyBank Real Estate Capital

KeyBank Real Estate Capital is the commercial real estate business of KeyBank National Association, part of KeyCorp. The bank splits its commercial real estate coverage into Real Estate Capital, which provides capital and financing, and Real Estate Investment Banking; a separate healthcare real estate group sits alongside them.

Clients are served through KeyBank's institutional platform, which also covers debt capital markets, equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, syndicated finance, asset-based lending, equipment finance, commercial payments and treasury services, and loans and lines of credit. The bank asks prospects to find an expert by industry or by solution rather than publishing product sheets. Banking and lending products are provided by KeyBank National Association, member FDIC and an Equal Opportunity Lender, and all credit products are subject to collateral or credit approval, terms and availability. Non-deposit investment products are made available through separate affiliates, Key Investment Services LLC and KeyCorp Insurance Agency USA Inc., not through the bank itself.

Commercial real estate is one of KeyBank's named industry verticals, alongside healthcare, public sector, technology, agribusiness, financial sponsors and energy. KeyCorp describes itself as one of the nation's largest banks, publishes quarterly earnings and an annual report to shareholders, and reports on corporate responsibility each year.

The pages reviewed here are the commercial real estate landing page and corporate pages; they carry no agency, HUD or CMBS product detail and no servicing information. Ask the assigned real estate banker which execution applies to your deal, who would service the loan afterwards, and whether deposit or treasury business is expected alongside the credit.

Best for

Owners and developers who want a balance-sheet bank relationship alongside commercial mortgage execution, and borrowers large enough to be assigned a covering banker. Single small-asset borrowers will usually be better served by a mortgage broker.
