Katz, Sapper & Miller is an employee-owned accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Indianapolis, with offices in Chicago, Cincinnati, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Grand Rapids and New York. It was founded by entrepreneurs more than 80 years ago and its team of 800-plus CPAs and advisors serves clients across the United States.

The firm organises around three service lines. Advisory covers strategy, operations, technology and transactions, including outsourced finance and accounting, ESOP work, restructuring and bankruptcy, site selection and incentives, tax increment financing consulting, and IT risk advisory. Tax covers federal, state and local and international compliance and planning for businesses, not-for-profits and high-net-worth individuals. Audit and assurance covers financial statement audits, employee benefit plan audits and agreed-upon procedures.

Industry teams include real estate and construction. The real estate group works with owners, developers and investors on risk and growth; the construction group works with contractors and developers on risk, margins and project complexity. The firm also serves private equity firms, family offices, governmental entities, not-for-profits and high-net-worth individuals.

KSM operates as an alternative practice structure: Katz, Sapper & Miller, LLP is the licensed independent CPA firm providing attest services, while KSM Holding Company, Inc. and its subsidiaries provide tax, advisory and business consulting and are not licensed CPA firms. Broker-dealer services are offered through a separate member firm. Fees are not published and are set per engagement.
