Investors Title Exchange Corporation (ITEC) acts as a qualified intermediary in tax-deferred exchanges under Section 1031. It was established in 1988 as a subsidiary of Investors Title Company to provide commercial real estate exchange services, and says it has been providing 1031 exchange services for more than 38 years.

Forward exchanges run through ITEC. Safe-harbor reverse exchanges run through a sister company, Investors Title Accommodation Corporation, established in 1994 as an exchange accommodation titleholder. Transactions are handled on the company's ExchangeCONNECT platform.

The exchange team numbers more than 20 professionals with 150+ years of collective experience, including eight Certified Exchange Specialists. The parent, Investors Title Company, is based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with a regional office in Columbia, South Carolina and issuing offices throughout the United States, and has traded on Nasdaq under the symbol ITIC since 1986. Its title underwriter, Investors Title Insurance Company, holds an A (Excellent) financial strength rating from A.M. Best and a Financial Stability Rating from Demotech.
