Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is an insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting firm headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Its brokerage places property and casualty coverage for commercial organizations, and it publishes risk guidance aimed at real estate clients, including material on litigation funding exposure for multifamily and hospitality property owners.

The firm is organized along two lines: insurance and risk management on one side, benefits and human resources consulting on the other. Accounts are handled by local advisors, and separate Gallagher companies cover claims and risk management, wholesale brokerage, alternative risk structures, creative underwriting and global reinsurance, so a single client can be served by more than one Gallagher entity.

Gallagher was founded in Chicago in 1927 and counts 95+ years in business, 1,116 offices globally, more than 71,000 employees and services in over 130 countries.
