Equity is a full-service commercial real estate firm founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1987 as Equity Concepts Realty. It organizes its work under four headings, build, broker, manage, and invest, and sells them as a start-to-finish service rather than as separate engagements.

Brokerage covers landlord and tenant representation, with advisors in each local office who specialize by market segment; the firm points out that it manages its own leasing portfolio as well. Property management covers day-to-day building operations, tenant improvements, land development, and full-service property accounting. Development covers site selection and multiple location strategies, project scope, entitlements, economic feasibility studies, engineering guidance and project management, with stated experience in retail, mixed-use, hospitality, senior housing, and medical buildings, including the structural requirements of sensitive healthcare equipment.

Construction runs through an affiliate, Equity Construction Solutions, an independent construction company with more than 30 years of experience serving clients across the country. Asset management covers strategic positioning, debt and equity placement, and financial oversight. The principals also sponsor Equity Velocity Funds, four national real estate private equity funds focused on healthcare, retail, and mixed-use development.

The firm says it grew to nine offices nationwide. The site lists a corporate headquarters in Hilliard, Ohio, and offices in Dayton, Cincinnati, Orlando, Tampa, and Atlanta, with completed projects across Ohio, Florida, South Carolina, and Texas.
