Carolinas ARVC (Carolinas Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds)

The Carolinas Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (CARVC) is a trade association whose members own or operate campgrounds and RV parks in North Carolina and South Carolina. It was organized in 2004 by independent campground operators who combined the South Carolina Campground Owners Association and the North Carolina Campground Owners Association, on the logic that the two states shared border markets around Myrtle Beach and Charlotte and interstate traffic on I-77, I-26 and I-95.

Membership is open to privately owned campgrounds and RV parks that are licensed and open to the public in the two states, with dues set by the number of licensed RV sites at the location. The association states that it does not inspect, regulate or rate member campgrounds. Supplier memberships are offered to businesses serving the outdoor hospitality industry, and an associate membership covers operators outside the Carolinas and people looking to buy or build a park.

Member benefits include professional lobbying in both state legislatures, access to a full-time executive director, listings in the annual print directory, on the website and in the mobile app, member rates on enhanced print and digital advertising, a spring regional meeting, the Carolinas Fall Crawl tour and the Camping Carolinas Conference & Expo, which combines education, a trade show, a buyers workshop and the annual membership meeting.

On the consumer side the association publishes digital and printed camping directories and regional guides covering the coastal, central and mountain regions of both states, which drive reservations to member parks. Enrollment forms are posted by membership year on the site, and the board is balanced between North and South Carolina operators.
