Gates & access control

Brivo

Brivo sells a cloud-based physical security platform that combines access control, video, visitor management and intrusion detection. The Brivo Security Suite is delivered as software-as-a-service, so doors, schedules and credentials are managed centrally without on-site servers.

Administrators manage access events, door status and alerts for every location from one dashboard, apply role-based permissions by site and schedule, disable lost or stolen credentials on demand, and pull access logs for audit trails and investigations. Credentials include mobile passes and digital wallet entries, cards and fobs, PIN keypads, licence plates and biometrics, and the platform can sync with existing identity systems or a PMS. Readers come in slim, recessed, wall-box, keypad and mixed-credential models, and panels range from single-door controllers to multi-door panels and multi-site configurations, with readers that accept legacy prox cards alongside encrypted smart cards so migrations can be staged.

Video runs through Brivo Eagle Eye Video, which the company says is compatible with over 8,000 cameras and stores footage on-premises, in the cloud or both. Its AI analytics detect and classify people and vehicles, support custom watchlists and licence plate recognition, and can pair access events with footage to verify who used a door. Brivo's site reports 78,000 customers in 87 countries, 5 million mobile credentials and 15 million credentialed users.

Brivo does not publish prices. Its site lists editions of the Security Suite and of Eagle Eye video, and hardware is typically bought through an integrator, so ask which edition includes the features you need, what the reader and panel hardware costs, and which of your existing cameras and locks are supported.
