Bill.com
BILL is a financial operations platform that brings accounts payable, accounts receivable, and spend and expense management onto one system for businesses and accounting firms. Vendor bills are routed for approval, payments are scheduled, and the records sync back to the accounting system.
Accounts payable automates approvals with in-app team communication and approval tracking, role-based permissions and separation of duties, and purchase order matching so purchases are pre-approved. Every bill, approval, and payment creates a timestamped audit trail, and auditors can be granted read-only access. Vendors, 1099 contractors, and employees are paid by check, ACH, credit card, or international payment with real-time status tracking, and vendors get managed accounts with their own payment preferences and notifications. Accounts receivable automates incoming payments and cash application and handles recurring invoices.
BILL Spend & Expense replaces manual expense reports with physical and virtual cards, budget controls, real-time spending visibility, mobile receipt capture, and flexible credit lines, and earns rewards on card spending. Multi-entity setups for businesses with several locations or entities are supported, and BILL sells dedicated versions for accounting firms and for wealth management firms.
BILL says it has close to half a million customers, $345B+ in total annual payment volume, 8.3M network members paying or getting paid through it, and more than $1 trillion in payments processed, and that 98 of the 100 top US accounting firms use it alongside 9,500+ accounting firm partners. Its signup forms list accounting integrations including QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Acumatica, Blackbaud, SAP, Sage, Freshbooks, Thomson Reuters, and Yardi. Pricing does not appear on the pages reviewed.
