BETCO

BETCO designs and manufactures pre-engineered steel self-storage buildings and the components that go into them: single-story and multi-story buildings, boat and RV storage, climate-controlled buildings, flex space, portables, conversions and refurbishing, plus roll-up doors, door and hallway systems, metal roofing and siding, decking, and structural components.

The company works as a single source rather than a parts supplier. It handles design and engineering, manufacturing, shipping, and installation, and provides complete sealed drawings including foundation plans for permitting and inspection. Sales representatives work from field offices across much of the United States and stay involved through each phase of a project; territories are assigned by state. For existing facilities, BETCO offers storm damage assessments and support with insurance claims.

BETCO started in 1984 and built its own 50,000 square foot manufacturing and office facility in Statesville in 1989. It began manufacturing roll-up doors and hallway systems in 2000, bringing the Statesville footprint to 125,000 square feet, and all self-storage building components are manufactured at that North Carolina plant, at 228 Commerce Blvd. Product milestones include the MAXIMIZER portable building in 2004, the Next Generation building in 2007, and the Advantage Series in 2010. In 2005 the warranty on pre-painted surfaces was raised to 40 years, with 30 years against chalking and fading.
