B&B Electric

B&B Electrical is an electrical products distributor supplying RV parks, manufactured home communities, and marinas across the United States and Canada. It was started in 1968 by Rick Linnell and is second-generation family owned and operated by the Linnell family, working out of Union Lake, Michigan.

The catalog covers RV pedestals and surface boxes, campground pedestals and surface boxes, manufactured home pedestals, electric meters and meter kits, pre-construction meter mounts, distribution equipment, direct-burial aluminum and copper wire in triplex and quadplex configurations, and new and refurbished water meters from Neptune and Badger in sizes from 5/8 inch up to 4 inch and larger, along with parts such as register heads, rebuild kits, measuring chambers, couplings, and bottom plates.

It stocks Milbank, Midwest, and Eaton equipment, which is CSA and cUL approved, and can ship to Canada through the customer's own customs broker with a customs invoice on request. Its pre-construction meter mount is approved for use in the DTE service area with schedule 80 PVC and is made in 200 and 400 amp models. In-stock orders typically leave the factory within two business days; the factory selects the carrier, and orders cannot ship to a PO box.

Quotes and product advice come by phone on (888) 391-3802 or by email, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Cancelled orders carry a 25% restocking fee plus return shipping, and returns need a return authorization. The site sells equipment and gives specification advice; it does not advertise installation crews.

Common questions

How quickly do orders ship?
In-stock items typically leave the factory within two business days. The factory selects the carrier, and orders cannot be shipped to a PO box. Delivery is Monday to Friday during standard business hours and does not include lift gate, inside, or driver-assisted delivery, though that can be quoted separately. Orders meeting certain criteria qualify for free shipping.
What happens if I cancel an order?
Cancelling after placing an order carries a 25% restocking fee, and the customer arranges and pays for return shipping. The original shipping cost is not refunded. A return authorization from B&B is required first, and the refund is issued once the product comes back in original, unused condition, less any fees.
Can you ship to Canada?
Yes. Midwest, Eaton, and Milbank products are CSA and cUL approved, and B&B ships anywhere in the USA and to Canada through a customs broker of the customer's choice. A customs invoice is provided on request.
What is the difference between a ring type and a ringless meter socket?
Both perform the same function; the difference is how the meter is held to the socket. A ring type uses a specially formed ring, available in snap or screw type, that attaches to the meter curl on the pedestal enclosure and to the meter. A ringless socket uses the cover, embossed for the meter, to hold it in place. Either way a sealing or locking mechanism means the meter cannot be removed without signs of tampering. Which style applies depends on the application and geography, so check with the local utility company.
