Phase I environmental
ATC Group Services (Atlas)
Atlas is an environmental and infrastructure consultancy working across four groups: testing, inspection and certification; environmental solutions; engineering and design; and program, construction and quality management. Its site is oneatlas.com.
For property due diligence, the environmental group performs Phase I environmental site assessments and property condition assessments, Phase II subsurface investigation and evaluation, remedial investigations and feasibility studies, and remediation system design, installation, implementation and decommissioning. It also covers landfill monitoring and permitting, wetlands delineation, permitting and mitigation, industrial hygiene and building sciences, air quality consulting and field services, and environmental health and safety training, and provides expert witness testimony. Agency coordination at municipal, county, state and federal level is treated as part of the work.
The testing group covers construction materials testing and special inspection, quality assurance and control, owner verification and inspection, non-destructive testing, forensic and structural investigations and materials laboratory analysis. Engineering and design spans civil site, transportation, structural and geotechnical engineering, solid waste and landfill, land acquisition, subsurface utility engineering, GIS asset inventories and bridge inspection.
Atlas maintains AASHTO accreditation at several of its locations, which may include soil, aggregate, masonry, concrete and asphalt, and its staff include professional engineers, geologists, environmental specialists, laboratory managers and ACI, RTT and NICET-certified technicians. Work is priced per project; check which office would run the scope and whether its accreditation covers your test type.
