Asana is a work management platform for tracking tasks, projects, and goals across teams. Work sits in projects that can be viewed as lists, boards, calendars, timelines, or Gantt charts, with goals, portfolios, and reporting dashboards layered above for tracking progress across many projects at once.
Beyond general project tracking, Asana packages two products on the same platform. Asana Service Management is an intake and routing system for IT, HR, facilities, finance, and legal requests, with a self-learning knowledge base and the ability to turn a request into a project. Asana Client Management is aimed at agencies and adds a two-way client portal, AI meeting notes that become action items, and views of project and client health.
The AI layer includes prebuilt agents the company calls AI Teammates, of which it offers more than 30 across functions, an assistant called Asana Dash, AI Studio for no-code automations, and connectors that let teams work from tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Asana says 85% of Fortune 100 companies use it, and Asana Gov has achieved FedRAMP Moderate authorization. The platform integrates with more than 100 apps including Slack, Google Drive, and Zoom.
Plans are published: a free Personal plan for up to two users with unlimited tasks and projects, and paid tiers starting at $10.99 per user per month billed annually, with Advanced and Enterprise above that. There is no property, lease, or accounting data model here, so for real estate teams it complements a property management system rather than replacing one.
