Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is a third-party multifamily property management company that operates apartment communities on behalf of owners. It manages market-rate apartments, affordable housing communities, luxury communities, and multi-property portfolios.

The management scope runs from resident screening and leasing through rent collection and financial reporting, property maintenance and repairs, vacancy marketing and advertising, resident relations and retention, eviction management and compliance, and owner reporting. AMC frames the work around four things it tells owners to measure it on: revenue, cost and NOI impact; clear financial reporting; investment in onsite staff training; and national purchasing scale.

AMC says it has operated since 2000 and now manages more than 158,000 units in 25 states, and that it is ranked a top-five apartment manager on the National Multifamily Housing Council's 2026 Top Managers list.
