Allen Industries
Allen Industries designs, manufactures, and installs signage and architectural elements for national and international brands. Work spans high-rise, pylon, monument, and building signage, custom lettering, menu boards, and awnings, plus prefabricated modular building systems that change a building's appearance as part of a re-imaging program.
Each account or project is assigned a project management team led by a senior project manager, which carries the job through design, engineering, code checks and permitting, site surveys, production, installation, and later maintenance. The in-house design and engineering group produces drawings and 3-D presentations and sizes materials for load and wind-speed requirements.
Manufacturing runs across six plants - Greensboro, High Point, and Mount Airy in North Carolina, Clearwater in Florida, Phoenix in Arizona, and Toledo in Ohio - totalling 347,000 square feet, with a satellite office in Wixom, Michigan. Installation is handled by the company's own crews plus a network of more than 1,000 installation and service companies across the United States and Central America, and the company says it installs while a location stays open.
The company was founded in 1931 and is run by the fourth generation of the same family. It reports more than 80 active national accounts and over 30 international accounts, and more than 2,100 installations in 2024.
